How come UFO's have never created a sonic boom? That we know of anyway

First we to prove that any random unidentified phenomenon we perceive as flying through the sky is actually an extraterrestrial vehicle, then we can start spitballing around physics-defying shock wave suppression technologies

.... never mind spitball as to why a species capable of interstellar travel is just sooo improbably sneaking around our planet, rather than very unambiguously letting us know of A) their arrival and B) most likely our expected global submission to a species capable of interstellar travel (yeah, it doesn't make sense that anything capable of that would be keeping it a secret, obviously they would have the capability of doing anything they like with us)

It's very helpful to remember that all "UFO" actually means is literally "unidentified flying object" — not alien spaceships from multiple light years away, which is the minimum distance to another possibly inhabitable planet

We have to suspend a lot of disbelief and critical thinking to just automatically make the leap from "I don't know what that is" to "oh obviously that is little green men in flying saucers from beyond the Milky Way"
