The UFO was a stationary blacked-out area in the starry sky, which then shot spinning lights out and whizzed away at blinding speed. My grandpa spent weeks trying to figure out how it was physically possible.
The stickman could have been a cat or something else mixed with the imagination of a child, but my mom remembers being very freaked out as she ran away from him, whatever "he" was. She saw him while chasing a ball into a culvert, and he was lying down with his hands against the walls. He had big eyes. Many years later when she was in her college's library, she saw a book called Communion and was like "Hey that's my stickman on that cover!"
