Very sad to hear. I am from a different country and hence asking curiously - was it deliberately done? or was it an accident?
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@DCGuy77 arny practice always kills randomly, like the roads in the USA! On purpose but without a way out.
invisiblewoman · 36-40, F
@DCGuy77 it was an accident. 67 dead but they have only recovered 28.

It's horrendous. The poor families, and the controllers.
Chilling memories of Air Florida's 1982 crash in the Potomac.

It is just a shame though that TCAS Is designed to shut off at a certain altitude and why the military was doing night.Maneuvers in crowded air space makes no sense. It is a sad tragedy that could have been well easily avoided. I definitely pray for the people that were aboard both aircraft

I used to live in Wichita.

@invisiblewoman I lived on the KS side, too - in Wyandotte County when I was a little kid, then we moved to Johnson County when I was 13. We lived in Prairie Village.
invisiblewoman · 36-40, F
@PhoenixPhail my aunt lived in Prairie Village but i lived in Overland Park
PhoenixPhail · M
@invisiblewoman Yeah, that's right next door.
PalteseMalconFunch · 36-40, T
Every report I’ve seen says no survivors too

invisiblewoman · 36-40, F
@PalteseMalconFunch i knew there wouldnt be when they daid it had crashed into the water. With the temperatures they would have had to have been rescued in anout a half hour. Those poor people didnt have a chance. Its sad to me that they were within seconds of landing and then nothing.
PalteseMalconFunch · 36-40, T
@invisiblewoman Yea. Every crash is horrible but this one seems extraordinarily tragic

When I first heard it I thought it was another terrorist attack and then the next story on the radio was a bout a school shooting.
what the frick is going on out there.

What happened wasnt there a black hawk helicopter involved
invisiblewoman · 36-40, F
@req89hikowquou yes. The helicopter hit the plane as it was landing. No survivors ftom the helicopter or the plane.
@invisiblewoman my goodness. My guess they didnt see eachother or something those helicopters are for stealth i thought

War training kills people, it's not unlikely. War not going to be the issue? Never? Americans not asking no questions.
