Hi 👋🏻
I’m certainly no scientist, but I can say with 100% certainty that the climate where I live has changed significantly in my lifetime - no more ice cold winters (just wet, windy and mild) and consistently record breaking summers for heat. Hosepipe bans every year now 😞.
@Oneofthestormboys Everything changes, constantly. No one disputes that, but the how and why of it all is certainly not something we should try to avoid, the facts matter, and the fact is the Earth is certainly not getting warmer (on average).
Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
@DLight Ok. I’ll let the polar ice caps know that they should stop melting then. Everything will be alright.
@Oneofthestormboys Right, because never in the entire history of Earth has that ever happened before. You do of course realise don't you, that the ice sheets naturally expand and contract over time. That's nothing new, nor uncommon.

Climate change is definitely a proven fact. The debate remains what caused it, is it a natural progression or man made due to carbon emissions? Those on the right mistakenly deny there IS climate change occurring, but they've misunderstood the central point. There's no denying the climate is changing and temperatures are getting warmer. The debate surrounds the cause of that rise in temperature.

@Richard65 no, people on the right don’t deny that temps are getting warmer, they believe what you said… is it caused by man or not. also, temperature has not been recorded for all of humanity, so we don’t know what the temps were even just a few hundred years ago. and the accuracy of measured temps are much better now than they were years ago.

@boudinMan try talking to the usual right wing suspects on here, just for starters. They crack on that they're waiting for icebergs to appear in California. I've spoken to enough folks on the right in both the UK and the US to gauge a consensus and it's clear many think it's a hoax dreamed up to profit from green taxes.

The closing words are still relevant: we all need to work together beyond national boundaries as the climate changes. Of course, since this was made there's is another 30years of Climate Science to be taken into consideration.

Anthropogenic climate change is upon us: nations and individuals may choose to pretend otherwise, but it won't help future generations to do so,

It was a thing in the 70s and reset 80s I believe., but disproven

Who could have predicted heat dome?

No one saw them on the horizon.
this entire series (not just this one episode) was purely entertainment, not rigorous science ... it frequently covered urban legend and pseudoscience, and each epsiode in fact began with the following disclaimer of using conjecture:
