The Profiteering Off O Global Warming

With all the technological marvels of today at our fingertips to offset the effects of Global Warming the profiteering off of Climate Change has reached new heights. There has been so much talk recently about climate change from the great push for purchasing electric cars, solar panels to the recent Climate Change Conference all have had no impact on reversing the damaging effects of Co2 emissions that greatly contribute to what our planet is experiencing today.

In every aspect when we try to correct the imbalances in our environment, we hit roadblocks every time. From cost prohibitive measures to the outright profiteering of practically every major business especially those so-called Green Energy specialists have not provided the means to negate what man continues to do to our planet.

Fossil fuel especially oil is still a vital commodity for every industrialized nation today. But when we have major utility corporations that produce the electricity needed for homes and businesses consume oil or other forms of fossil fuel without providing the protective shields over their exhausts like a cars tail pipe these exhausts continue to funnel Co2 emissions into the atmosphere. All of which greatly contribute to our Global Warming being so extreme.

For over about 30 years the technology has been available in the development of the protective shields that eliminate Co2 from ever reaching our atmosphere. But due to the profiteering of those businesses that provide the electricity or the businesses that are our manufacturing base have yet to put in place those protective shiels. Consequently, the money game that is played even by governments contribute to the overall profiteering by these same companies and governments that promote energy conservation.

There has to be a balance between the green energy movement and our continued consumption of fossil fuels. But what is happening today is a one-sided approach to say we are combating climate change and global warming. When our government and the media are like tunnel visionaries in the way they are pushing electric vehicles on the public they always forget that procuring the materials that go into electric vehicles are actually destructive to our environment. As a result, we are no better off.

One of the biggest factors that contribute to the overall hindrance in electric vehicles are the batteries. The shelf life of batteries are very limited. They need to be recharged after so many miles. But here lies one of the major flaws today. It is like the government with its big push for electric vehicles have put the cart before the horse analogy in the way that there remains so few charging stations in which to recharge those electric vehicles. Then again, the energy needed in recharge those vehicles come for those same electric conglomerates that use mostly fossil fuel to provide that energy.

One of the major components in electric vehicles batteries is Lithium, an element. Harvesting and the manufacturing of lithium that goes into batteries is an arduous undertaking that involves usage of fossil fuels to complete the process for the lithium to be incorporated into those electric vehicle batteries. Many have stated that the overall process in the manufacturing of electric vehicle batteries uses far too much fossil fuel. In doing so it really has had no impact of reducing Co2 emissions. But then again, the government is insistent so that there is a great push to ban the sale of fossil fuel driven vehicles by the end of this decade. Another unfunded mandate levied upon the American public by our very own government.

This travesty has really hit home. And now with the media and government sponsoring the great solar energy movement we again find ourselves sucked into the profiteering by business that involve promoting solar energy. Many can remember back in the 1970's when we first experienced the energy crisis that hit our nation. Back then the green energy movement had just started. They had a valid reason to convert from fossil fuel to other forms of usable energy but like everything else the major oil producing conglomerates squashed that green energy movement just like they did back in 1950 with the Tucker Automobile. And now we are paying dearly for it.

We have been led to believe when we hear or see advertisements promoting solar panels for our homes that the government will step in and make them affordable. That is not so. We are beguiled to think that the instillation of Solar panels will greatly reduce our overall energy bills. To some extent that is true. But solar companies hook the consumer for a long-term contract like a mortgage for the ownership of solar panels that are installed on one's home. Consequently, having an eclectic bill say of now with solar panel instillation of $140 per month where without solar the bill was previously over $200 per month the solar company requires a monthly fee of $150 per month so that now the homeowner is paying two bills instead of one greatly reduced bill. A saving of a little over $10 per month is it worth it?

Too many today don't have the financial resources to outright buy solar for their homes. The profiteering of Solar companies continues to drain the pocketbooks of Americans. As a result, our efforts to combat climate change and global warming are hindered by the very same companies and governments that promote the efforts in combating global warming.

Always been about money. I'm sure there are some profitable companies out there, but even recently that one wind company in europe basically begged for another grant.

None of the frantic jumping up and down is about the environment. It's a money grab - taxing things or charging homeowners for technology that ultimately saves nothing. True innovation would lead us to better and cheaper solutions for energy production and use if we let them. The government stepping in and picking winning/losing solutions is really mucking things up.

It's all about money.
