@Funlov WOW...thanks for the input. If we take politics out of the picture, and just do our part, I think we will be in a much better space. maybe naive but that is how i feel.

@akindheart yes I totally agree with you I’m in the oil and gas business. So I deal with this stuff all the time if you want to make a change, make a change right in your backyard starting at home if we all do that the world will be a better place. I don’t need somebody across the world tell me how to do things when I know better because I have the degree for it and it’s what I do for the last 20 years.

@Funlov Yeah, I don't need a Greta in my life. Now when they get china and India emissions under control, we can talk about the rest. why in the world were they allowed to even continue?

@Funlov I personally feel that the whole environmental movement had become nothing more than a cash cow. The initial ideals were good and intentions meaningful but it has all been over exploited.

@Ravens80 totally agree with you. It’s just a casual just like black lives matters up here in Canada the natives you know they go on about everything Diana line is it’s always about money somebody’s always got their hand out.

@Funlov i sat in a mediation and defense passed me a report. the Haitian employee had filed 33 PAGES of claims. he didn't get what he wanted (I like to argue) and so he filed a wrongful termination lawsuit, when he had disappeared

@akindheart yes for sure I can see it here because nobody knows the name of my company or my real name. I don’t hire foreigners just because it becomes too much of a hassle. I just don’t and I’m not racist not at all but I don’t hire them in my company.

@Funlov we have taken advantage of the cheap labor. Americans are lazy. but our govt has also taken advantage of the free money. The illegals pay into our taxes and soc sec. so now we are dependent on it. the illegals have found a way to get around that too.

@akindheart here the thing I’ve seen it in companies, businesses that my friend zone the big thing here in Canada. The last couple years are east Indians and Filipinos. I have nothing against them but if you give them an inch they’ll try to take a mile no I’m in the oil gas business I do big construction the average employee that works for me probably 80% of them make about $44 an hour $140 a day for the truck so after taxes they’re making about 150,000 a year, but I know these guys mostly everybody that run equipment for me the boys from the farms from small towns. I can trust them they grew up around this. I’m not prejudiced, but I won’t change.

@akindheart yes I don’t look down on them but I didn’t spend 20 years in a shit load of money and go through the ups and downs of the economy to then have to deal with employees that whine about working 12 hours a day or working on holidays I don’t care of the hear about it everybody that walks through the front door my office and goes to my HR department should know what this job and companies about what we do we don’t work 9 to 5

Particularly those living near where it goes down. Whatever. Collateral damage, right? Net income for the oil and gas industry doubled in 2022. So did profits. That's the definition of a cash cow dude.

@Ynotisay here ass hole this my company, putting the environment back after drilling rigs out there and drilled so tell me what have you done for the environment when my guys were done, the land was better than it was for the farmer
