I Am Concerned About Climate Change

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has reaffirmed the position of its Board of Directors and the leaders of 18 respected organizations, who concluded based on multiple lines of scientific evidence that global climate change caused by human activities is now underway, and it is a growing threat to society.

“The vast preponderance of evidence, based on years of research conducted by a wide array of different investigators at many institutions, clearly indicates that global climate change is real, it is caused largely by human activities, and the need to take action is urgent,” said Alan I. Leshner, chief executive officer of AAAS and executive publisher of the journal Science.

Climate change is the biggest lot of nonsense. Look at the magnitude of the planet, as if human's can affect something so significantly. Nothing can remain 100% constant, there's a thing called random change/probability. Weather was never constant even pre-urbanisation. Most climate activists are people who don't like to work, and envious of others who are successful.

Finally, the nonsense about carbon buildup............. carbon is absorbed into the ground (earth), therefore the earth is like a sink for carbon (necessary for plants). In summation........ humans inhale oxygen and exhale Co2 (carbon dioxide), plants inhale Co2 and exhale oxygen.....

It's not random, [@nieolderM]. Climate change does happen naturall, but it's usually much, [i]much[/i] slower and the results have been catastrophic, having very likely lead to the decline of the Indus River Valley Culture and others. And yes, carbon dioxide is normally absorbed by plants and the ground, but over 2.3 million square kilometeres of forests were cut down just from 2000 to 2012 and the majority of coral reefs are currently dying.

So in short, we're pumping CO2 into the atmosphere and curtailing the processes that pump it back out. That's a really dangerous combo.

Haven't you ever read about acid rain, mass-extinction, or the hole in the ozone layer? That lasat one, we fixed through government regulation, btw, and now it's the smallest it's ever been since the darned thing was discovered.

@BlueVeins Everything must and will change in existence, everything changes every instant............. there will come a time when the earth will explode for the next phase of progress, you can't stop progress, it's the concentric motion of the earth and moisture of the oceans that preserve the earth
