I Am Concerned About Climate Change

AAAS Reaffirms Statements on Climate Change and Integrity
4 December 2009 by: AAAS.org staff report

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has reaffirmed the position of its Board of Directors and the leaders of 18 respected organizations, who concluded based on multiple lines of scientific evidence that global climate change caused by human activities is now underway, and it is a growing threat to society.

“The vast preponderance of evidence, based on years of research conducted by a wide array of different investigators at many institutions, clearly indicates that global climate change is real, it is caused largely by human activities, and the need to take action is urgent,” said Alan I. Leshner, chief executive officer of AAAS and executive publisher of the journal Science.

What do they think about the overall warming on the planet Mars? Is it due to their factories, SUVs or massive herds of cattle?

More Bullshit just like the United Nations report of 1989.

What happened to global warming?

@Subsumedpat melting Ice won’t raise the sea level. Just like when ice melts in your cup of soda, you don’t end up with an overflowing cup

@MrBrownstone You are correct for floating sea ice. However, ice that melts over land in Greenland and Antarctica definitely raises global sea levels. It is equivalent to pouring in more soda in your example, and you do end up with an overflowing cup.

@MrBrownstone I am sorry but you have been misinformed ,melting floating sea ice does not contribute near as much as melting land ice but it does contribute. Melting water from sea ice and floating ice shelves could add 2.6% more water to the ocean than the water displaced by the ice. The common misconception that floating ice won’t increase sea level when it melts occurs because the difference in density between fresh water and salt water is not taken into consideration. Freshwater actually has greater volume than an equivalent weight of saltwater. Thus, when freshwater ice melts in the ocean, it contributes a greater volume of melt water than it originally displaced.

the more science I learn the more I beleive this is bullshit. especially the issue with carbon monixide

It’s nothing a Sharpie can’t fix.
