The serviceberry economy. . . Not capitalism.

In "olden times" we as a species were dependent on the ebbs and flows of earth and without modern conveniences and distraction. Were forced to interact amicably and mutually with our environnental community.
The blueberries apple trees herds of deer that sustained our population's community well being if overutilized would simply be unavailable moving forward.
As a citizen of earth and my environment. I pick only the berries that have reached maturity (plumpness) to be picked and be aged enough to be sweet. I leave the immature purple and green blue berries to reach maturity and be picked for consumption later.
In this way bird and squirrel can have their pick of the ones they prefer and the ones to high for me to reach deer chipmonk and bear might select from instead.
We share the earth with our fellow earth creatures. To take only what we need to be satisfied rather than to remain unquenched forever.
