It doesn't help that Tesla cars batteries are blowing up on the freeways here... This morning...

Should have a state manufacturers surcharge to pay for the fire department responses.

@bijouxbroussard yes and Tesla is the absolute worst of the lot!
There's no manufacturing regulation in Texas.

@DeWayfarer So this is incentive for fewer Tesla sales here. Musk took his company out of California —he should have no problem with his sales leaving, too.

@bijouxbroussard the problem is the Tesla cars are popular so the wealthy that pay for them should pay for the fire department responses. Or better have Tesla pay for it.

That moment when the Leopards Eating People's Faces didn't expect people to eat leopards faces. Now that's an interesting twist even I didn't see coming, but I'm here for it. 🤭

Also, the "cybertruck" is a rolling cow pie.

Tesla Cybertruck recall rate in 2024 close to 200%
... Looking at the figures, it seems the Cybertruck may be underperforming compared to its lofty sales targets of 150,000 units annually. Kelley Blue Book estimated only about 28,250 pickups had been delivered by the end of September. Meanwhile, recall data suggests nearly 55,000 trucks were flagged for fixes during the same period. That means many vehicles were likely recalled more than once, heading towards a 200% recall rate.

Drill baby drill! They all cheered.

@JimboSaturn I can't believe I would watch Congress cheer at "we are going to remove all environmental legislation", "we are going to remove diversity equity and inclusion from he workplace" "we are stopping all foreing aid" "we are taking Greenland one way or another"
All meet with thunderous applause and smiles.
Sickening.

@JimboSaturn That 's as worrying as watching DJT actually spouting the poisonous (literally) pronouncements. The danger is believing that if Elon's ugly puppet (not a comment on appearance) is removed, this agenda will fall apart. It won't, at least not yet awhile. The people who still believe they can benefit from cheering ostentatiously, still have the wind in their sails and are happy to drive the ship onto the rocks just annoy the man in the crow's nest who is shouting the warnings.
