Do you use biodegradable garbage bags?

Yes. I am trying to sort out my compostable trash as much as possible.
In the kitchen I actually prefer the double layer paper bags because they don't need a bin to hold the bag. I just fold in the edge and it stays standing on its own. The bottom can get soggy, but I just put a few layers of newspaper in the bottom or wrap the garbage itself in newspaper and that works fine
