Trash left behind at Mt Everest

They should make cleaning the mountain part of the requirements to get a permit to climb it.

Disgusting isn't it. People who climb it are more interested in their egos than love of the mountain and respect for nature. There are also human remains as well.

I read the license to climb that mountain is $100k. They need to up it and make cleaning this mess a public works project.

Rich people are usually disgusting.

A couple I know traveled to Nepal one summer a few years ago and they said it was the worst vacation they ever took. The country itself is trashed….litter everywhere including waterways. They want the tourist $ but they have no standards for cleanliness.

Couple of options:

1. Close for a few months during the year
2. Limit visitors per year
3. Add environmental levy for tourist

That makes me feel ill and also angry.
(Some) Humans do it to beaches also and really every place they go, they abuse it.

Some of us don't deserve this planet.

It really is a statement about the kind of people who go mountain climbing and their need to dominate the environment..😷

Whatever happened to packing out one's trash?

I hate when nature is trashed and or unkempt. Even the State and National parks, in which there's absolutely no excuse for; given they're staffed. This is terrible 😔

So is Mt. Everest secretly becoming a place to dump trash? NYC has to find someplace to put all their garbage!

They should be made to rent a chopper, and come back and clean that up!
