The aquifers are running dry... Lake Mead is depleting rapidly.

When these water sources are no more, it's gonna take tens of thousands of years to replenish. Farmers won't be able to water their crops in huge swaths of the country, food prices are gonna spike and people are gonna go hungry. Things feel hopeless, but IT'S NOT OVER TILL IT'S OVER. Even if we assume that this collapse is inevitable, we can still slow things down through lifestyle changes. There's no time like the present to cut out the meat and dairy, switch from almond milk to oat milk, decommission the sprinkler system, and look into water-conserving appliances.

In ten or twenty years when poor people the world over lay dead from hunger and the resulting fighting, you'll wish you did more, fought harder while you could still comfortably do so. This is your chance, ladies and gentlemen. This, right now, is the time for action. ❤️ I believe in all of you.

I think there's quite a few lakes and rivers which have dried up during my lifetime
