Beatles Get back

Watching the Beatles, Get Back documentary. Clearly Paul and Ringo didn't want the band to end

I dunno. Ringo left for a time during the White Album, and I think he did once during these sessions, too. It's amazing they had Abbey Road left in them after this.

@uncalled4 Ringo felt he wasn't wanted or needed, later finding out the others felt the same. When he did come back there was a huge bouquet of flowers on his drum set

@uncalled4 when Goerge left, John suggested to replace him with Eric Clapton. Even if that was a joke, it wasn't very nice

@retiredbum No, plus Clapton was close with George and I don't see that happening. John could absolutely be a douche. I wish that Peter Jackson was allowed to use the row between Paul and George while they're playing I've Got A Feeling. It just ruins the flow of GH leaving

@uncalled4 think the riff was between Paul and George. Outside of work, they never talked much. George felt he had more to contribute. Paul just didn't see it.

@retiredbum During GB, I hear George make suggestions, and it's heartbreaking that they're good but not musically viable. One not in the film was GH playing a guitar phrase in between the verses of Hey Jude. Paul was right not to include them, but somehow he still seemed to belittle George. Being in a band is tough, and it's hard to tell someone their ideas or playing is not working

@uncalled4 goerge was so influenced by Hinduism, it changed how he played on Paul and John's songs.
