Do you live by any particular mantra?

" Virtue is bold, and goodness never fearful. "

- William Shakespeare

I will always try to do right by everything. But, it's sad and hard when the people around you don't have the same end goal.

@Umile Live in the present. The past can’t define who you are, and neither can other people. Make good decisions now that will pay off later, but don’t
worry too much about the future, it’s not here yet and nobody truly knows what it holds, just be confident that you have the tools to deal with whatever comes your way.

Try to do good for others, and focus more on that than on what others can do for you. Don’t worry about what others think of you, that’s their business and not yours.

Ensure that all relationships you develop with other people are on an even plane, what is called horizontal relationships. Don’t fall for the trap of developing vertical relationships, where you always perceive yourself as either above or below another person, as this will only lead to a poor relationship full of problems. Live your life, and let others live theirs. Believe that people can be good, instead of doubting them or believing that they are always up to no good.

Don’t let your emotions control your actions. Emotions are natural and unpreventable, but impulsively acting on them is a choice and not a requirement, and can often lead to harm.

Keep things in perspective. Everything changes, nothing is permanent and nothing stays the same.

Your time in life is very short and temporary, make the best of it while you can. Memento Mori: Remember that you must die.

@travelguy01 I can't mark this as a best answer. But make no mistake, it is. Very wise and good words. Really made me think. Much respect. 🙏
