People are full of bullshit and we look for the answers to big questions..

There are very tenuous strands that hold all of this BS together and they are currently close to the breaking point. People cling to accepted theories as truths because beyond that it’s all just darkness and wind. The powers that be want you to be afraid. They want you to run to them for answers and for protection. And they’ll offer you the illusion of both for a price. Surrender everything you have, but most of all what remains of your freedom for a security that doesn’t exist and never did.

The 13th century zen master Dogen wrote in his [i]Genjokoan[/i]:-

[i]Therefore, if there are fish that would swim or birds that would fly only after investigating the entire ocean or sky, they would find neither path nor place. When we make this very place our own, our practice becomes the actualization of reality[/i]

As I see it, we must all seek our own time, place and path. Dogen's words suggest, at least to me, the need for Trust/Faith. Which is in short supply these days.
