Shows/series. They can be like books, with each season a new book, and each episode a new chapter.

Those are merely vehicles by which a story can be told. That said, I think a TV series wins because it can tell a great story across many episodes.

@uncalled4 They do provide more time for details. Movies would have to cut a lot.
