It was so good and so different from Lorne Green. The first episode had the mechanical cylinder and number 6.

@Pfuzylogic I loved the new and improved cylons😊 Tricia Helfer was amazing playing several different copies of herself.

@KristinaM I do remember that. I think it was 2001 when I first saw it and it blew me away. Smallville came out also but this had real edge to it!

@Pfuzylogic It was such a compelling story and so well acted.

Edward Olmos as the Admiral and Mary McDonnell. They had already made a name for themselves so the show was working with a quality cast.

@Pfuzylogic I loved their relationship. Their part of the finale was very touching. And now I might cry again 😅
Pfuzylogic · M
@KristinaM You are such a soft touch but I wouldn’t want you any other way. 🙂

@Pfuzylogic Aw thank you 🤗
Pfuzylogic · M
@KristinaM Visually the set had so much depth. You could get so busy just exploring what was around.
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@Pfuzylogic You’re right and even more so the second time around. I’ll wait a couple of years and watch it again 😆
Pfuzylogic · M
@KristinaM I have the whole series but it has been since 2013 since I watched anything in dvd. Funny how lifestyles can totally change once you move to a new city!
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@Pfuzylogic I imagine things definitely would change. You gotta watch it!

I do miss it.
A show like that can really engage the imagination and the characters did have depth to their personality. Even cylon #6 was incredibly deep with all of the models of her.

@KristinaM You could tell they were operating at a different level of quality.
I look at the old battlestar gallactica and giggle about how awkward it was.

@Pfuzylogic I’ve got to watch that sometime. Richard Hatch who played Apollo in the original series has a pretty big part in the reimagined version.

It reminds me of an episode of Bonanza for some reason. 😁
Might be Lorne Green; he was adama.

@Pfuzylogic Wow they actually wore capes in space😆

@KristinaM Space 1999 with Martin Landau and Barbara Bain was much better. Their daughter had a huge part in Buffy the Vampire Killer.

@Pfuzylogic I love Buffy!
Pfuzylogic · M
@KristinaM I actually followed it pretty heavily at one time.
She played Druisilla, Spike’s vampire lover on Buffy.

KristinaM · 36-40, F
@Pfuzylogic Spike is my favorite character. I remember her. Maybe that will be my new show. I’ve been considering watching Dr. Who

Her Dad was a master in acting and was offered the part of Mr. Spock but he turned it down.

He played the lead role on Space 1999.

@Pfuzylogic He really didn’t have the right ears for Spock 😜
Space 1999 looks like it has an interesting story premise.

It was an awesome show with excellent acting. This was before the comeback of Star Trek in the late 70s. 1999 was a long time away! 😅
