People say you attract the same energy like you are .

It is not always the case that you attract the same energy. Often we attract those who find our vulnerabilities. Clothes left in the rain soak with water. They have nothing in common, it's just that the clothes have a susceptibility which the rain exploits. People who are vulnerable can be exploited by those who like to manipulate. It would be hard to suggest that they share the same energy, barring perhaps the possibility of a shared low self esteem.
