@Musicman I agree 100% Maybe a small battle in the war - but we won by golly!

@Budwick And natural gas is good clean energy. I don't think these idiots know what they want.

Woot big victory.
While I think we should strive for green energy over the long haul, but for now we still need natural gas and some fossil fuels for immediate use. Each has pros and cons. We are not ready to make this leap to all green. Not going to happen in the short term. It will one day. We will be fine until the technology is improved.

ANOTHER loss for Biden.😄
Another slap down by the SCOTUS.
Does any body follow the law and constitution anymore…
Everything they do gets over ruled..

Gee what a pity killdawg didn’t win and install 4x left wing lunatics..

Real pity that

while I might applaud a good infrastructure project, that's not what this is
the route they've chosen is through some pristine untouched wilderness
it pristine because the terrain is ridiculously steep
it is also being built on spec that there "might" be a demand in the areas its crossing through
you know the poorest sections of VA and WV
then there is the piping itself they've let sit outside in storage yards, the coating on them is now toxic from the extended UV exposure
the list goes on of the fucked up shit they've allowed to go on with this project
How do I know these things you may ask;
I live in VA, I personally know people who live out in the area, I've read the articles written in the local papers out there, I also work for a fairly large Civil Engineering firm - I hear things, I've also worked at Dominion power - again you hear things.

@SW-User I am sure we will find a way out including culling the old and the sick and the stupid.

As a planet we are so dependent on a wasting asset
..that being fossil fuels..
if you call keeping warm, creating power, being able to to transport yourself and goods, growing larger yields of crops, and creating various materials we depend on a waste then sure, I personally see it as using an asset we have to the fullest.
Electric cars are a fools errand..
this I agree with

@Tetsuya it is great now…not so, in the future.

Bye

This too must be going over like a loud fart at high mass![image deleted]
I agree with clean energy but read how they get the gas out of the shale. This is my state wilderness. A gas line blew along I-81 just this week. Blow in the wilderness and you have a nice forest fire. Its always great for those that dont live near the pipeline. Come look at what they do to put it in the rocky mountains here.
They sold my state lies about the great jobs it brings to build the pipeline and look at the worker trailer villages- Almost all Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas truck tags.
I believe in a well balanced energy policy. We wont replace oil, gas, coal with clean energy any time soon, so who out there will turn the switch off to kill the coal fired power plant you get your electricity from. How you going to power your electric car? Your game pc or console. Tv? Get real, we are addicted to electricity, automobiles with powerful engines, airplanes, heat, A/C, etc. We would lose all these without our present power sources. We have to ween off the fossil fuels but like any addiction it has to be done with little or no horrible side effects.
Arguing about this side or that side gets us nowhere.

@Suggestmeone
We have to ween off the fossil fuels
I agree but the weaning can not be forced. As alternative energy sources are developed and refined, the market will find winners and losers. Right now there are interesting devices but none are tenable .
