What Would You Do If Two Young Men Knocked On Your Door & Told You They Had A Way To Save You Money On Your Electric Bill But Weren’t Selling Anything

I didn’t even open the glass storm door. When they said they weren’t selling anything it was a red flag. Like the scam callers who offer to refinance your credit cards for zero percent interest rates 😂. I told them I wasn’t interested and they kept talking. Told them to leave and closed the door. At that point I wouldn’t have trusted them to let them enter my home. No telling what they were up to. I hate to be rude but can’t trust everyone and I was home alone.

You can tell that you are tired of low electricity prices and have recently recommended the government to hike the rates.

@TheOrionbeltseeker They mentioned that they knew I was paying too much for electricity these days. (I have cut back as much as possible.) But what concern is it to them if they weren’t there to sell me anything? And who was paying them to hoof it around the neighborhood knocking on doors?

@TheOrionbeltseeker More like criminals. We are having heavy rains today and my power went off over an hour ago. I called to report the outage. After reporting it the worker asked me if he could help me with anything else and I told him about this. Told him I knew they were not linked to the company but they didn’t intoduce me with their names or company and were t wearing I D badges either

@TheOrionbeltseeker I had a woman from India calling me a year ago telling me she knew I was paying too much for electricity and she was going to refund me $60. I hung up the first time she called. She called again and said the same spiel and continued telling me she needed my bank account number to send the money to. I told her if she knows where I live to come on over and ring my doorbell and put that cash in my hand.
