Australian electricity prices to jump around 30 to 50 pct due to 'transition' away from coal and gas fired power stations to so-called 'renewables'...
So the transition away from coal and gas (we have no nuclear) baseload electricity generation to a mostly 'so-called renewable' model is going to come with very sharp cost increases - predicted to be in the range of 30 to 50 percent - in just a couple of years.
That makes the viability of electric vehicles come into question yet again. Suck shit green-washers.
Here in NSW, there will be no coal power stations operating beyond the mid-2030's, so where will all the electricity to run everyone's electric cars and houses come from? Most people cannot afford and do not want rooftop solar. Most people do not want massive solar farms or windfarms on the doorstep. Snowy Hydro 1.0 and 2.0 cannot meet the demand and never have been designed to do so.
Priorities for electricity supply will go to industry and hospitals and government businesses before private residences. So homes will be subject to a lot more frequent (and longer) blackouts. Oops.
Our 'dependence' on electricity is starting to fall apart...
