I Remember Physical Education In Vest And Pants [I Hated Physical Education Class]

This only happened to me a couple of times. Most of my PE lessons were gymnastics or dance and I wore a leotard with bare feet. In high school for other sports it was tee shirts and gym knickers or sometimes a netball skirt again mostly bare feet.

Growing up in England in the 1950's /60's at Junior school the girls all did p.e in their knickers at senior school they had the option of continuing to do p.e in their knickers or a gym skirt,most continued in their knickers,the only difference being that at junior school the knickers were bottle green whilst at senior school they were navy blue.

They were very different days back then. Boys and girls got undressed together until we went to comprehensive. Boys just stripped down to underpants and girls went down to vest and pants. It was just normal.
The biggest change at comprehensive were the communal showers. Boys just all went in together. Anyone just running through the shower got whacked and a cold shower.
We weren't cosseted back then like kids are now.
