What were your experiences like in your Physical Education classes. What was your teachers like and what was your PE Uniform at Primary and secondary.

Did you enjoy the subject and were the facilities good.
Did you do your lessons in Barefeet or Trainers and did you decide and not me made to by the teacher?

Like Irishmell i was not very good at sports. I was not able to run far without becoming breathless. I recall my eye to hand coordination was not good so hopeless at cricket or anything where i had to catch anything. Managed volleyball ok. Thus football was out, cricket was out. So neither enjoyed. I enjoyed Rugby. I think in primary school it was plimsolls and shorts and maybe a vest. Secondary school the same shorts for everthing maybe a certain colour shirt for team sports.

@Royrogers Do you mean me? :) ArishMell, With an 'A'. It's two words concatenated, the name of a small bay on the SW English coast. Never mind!

Although a State grammar school, not a public school (in the British meaning) and non-boarding, we were arranged I know not how into "houses" for sports and games purposes, though we didn't have orgnaised competitions to any great extent. It only really showed in football, as our football sweatshirts were in house colours to facilitate forming definite teams for each game.

The girls had their equivalents for hockey and netball but I don't remember how they arranged it.

I had the same problem of poor co-ordination, and I was not very strong though had reasonable stamina for short-distance running.
