I Remember Physical Education In Vest And Pants [I Hated Physical Education Class]

Certainly in Infants when I forget my pe kit usually cos I forget to ask me mum to give it me, I'd have to do p.e. in my vest and underpants in the school hall. As far as I can recall - and it going back a fair bit although the was a lost property box, it didn't seem to have anything other than regular attire in there so there was no chance of borrowing some games shorts.

In my primary school we all did p.e. in our underwear which, for most of us was vest and pants. In the last year boys did it in a pair of shorts without a top to prepare us for secondary school. We only went outside when it was warm.
