My son (21 now) did PE in vest and pants in primary school (reception-year 6) he never had a problem with it, kit was optional

The good old gays I remember having to do this if you forgot your kit.
It was awkward for us the ones that didn't wear underwear and had a home lifestyle open with nudity for didn't know why we couldn't do it nude.
