I'm pretty good at doing little things for the near future. As in I meal prep so I don't have to worry about cooking every day. I set my clothes out each night so I don't have to spend time finding an outfit every morning. I clean at night so I can have a clean home after work. Boring things. 😅

To an extent. I plan, I do things knowing they’ll pay off later. But I’ll admit to always being a bit more of the “living in the moment” type. And now I think so much about my kids’ futures, I’ve been thinking of mine a bit less. Mostly because I’m fairly confident I’ll be fine. Less sure about people around me.

Yeah. Can't get too complacent. I probably still have some deeply rooted trust issues, because I'm always expecting the rug to get pulled out from under me sooner or later.
I save lots of money in case I can't work, in cash and crypto as well in case banks fail, I keep lots of food on hand in case there's a natural disaster, I plan my meals ahead of time to ensure I get proper nutrition, I keep my body in shape in case I need to defend myself in a fight, I have a bag full of clothes and supplies in case I need to leave, a GPS tracker and windshield alarms in my car in case someone tries to break in or steal it.
In the end, I'd rather be on top of sh*t than in it

A bit, but these days I mostly try to figure out how to plan for my wife when she has to go into a memory care facility, AND how not to have everything disappear so i can leave something for our son to inherit.

Yes. I know no one else will. Gotta take care of yourself.

I do things for my kids future selves more than my own.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@SwampFlower you're an amazing mother and their futures are certain to be full because of your love 🖤

Not really. I never thought I would live this long and now I'm just kinda lost.
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
I have to
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
I try to.
ToLivePeacefully · 31-35, M
I used to.
I need to do better at that
Yeah. I buy stuff I think I might use eventually.
Not as much as I should
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@V00doo I think you should. I think we all should 🖤
@ScreamingFox I lack at the urgency to make a doctor's appointment
