What things do you think your parents don’t know about you?
In truth it is supposed to be true that your parents know everything about you, because growing up they observe and are instrumental in making you the person you are, and they are proud of who you are becoming. Today, however, parents are almost strangers to their own children!
The costs of living and the pursuit of happiness are so very time consuming and difficult. In order to finance my journey to Spain 🇪🇸 I worked even harder than my parents saw to save the money 💰 for my flight ✈ and my perceived living expenses in the new country where I hoped to live. It was very difficult and I went without lots of things to do it.
The only person who knew what I was doing was our priest at the church my family worshipped in. I told him everything! He knew that as a small child I considered devoting my life to God and becoming a nun. It wasn’t just any nun either but a Poor Clare that I was thinking about. I never said anything about it to my family, and since I talked about it in the confessional the priest was sealed from saying something to my parents.
Life changed for me when I found I could dance. It was the one thing my parents had insisted I do to instil more into me, they thought me too quiet. I loved dancing from the first lesson I had!
