@urfavoriteahole Oh yeah, they come and go. Even if everything comparable has the same tech, companies still boast about it.

@urfavoriteahole here are a couple gimmicks from the past you might enjoy -
At one time television sets were advertised as "Cable ready" meaning you didn't need a separate box.
People and companies do this crap all the time - repackage something that already exists since God knows when and try to pass it off as something new.
Fast food places take their existing slop and re-name it as if it were new. Every day social media companies are "rolling out" some "new" messenger app or photo app.
Or a big one - how many times is it going to be the end of the world? In your time you have seen at least three (Y2K, Dec 21st 2012, the pandemic). I have seen twice as many.
