Like mentioned, mostly the latest buzz word.
Even if they WERE to create AI to be human-like, what would happen once AI started getting lazy, distracted, and demanding more of whatever AI machines want?
Thing is they have been talking about machines taking over since God knows when, probably 100 years now, but hasn't happened yet.
If they figure out a way to make machines self-aware, we are screwed but until then.
