I Admire Wit and Intelligence

People are asking, "Who's the smartest person on SW?"

The answer is - "Nobody."

Yes, that includes me. No one likes EVERYBODY they encounter on SW. They don't like the way someone else comes across on the way they write a post, or mistakenly reply to a post you have written (this can be a misunderstanding on both individual's parts), or they are trolls who are out to "shock" another poster (or three) with words in a reply or a question about your life that has a double meaning.

I don't know everything, but I like a good joke when I hear (see?) it, or learn something from someone else on a subject I know little or nothing about. I remember well what is imparted to me, especially if it is interesting.

People ask me on SW, sometimes, about things I write about, and I will be glad to give them an explanation or a reply. I value intelligence above much else, and it doesn't hurt to have a little humor in the reply.

I am not exactly the brightest candle on the cake, but don't you have to take the squall if you want the baby?

Very well put. I love it.

(And, you MAY be the brightest candle on the cake.)

@PhoenixPhail Thanks for your support. The "candle on the cake" remark is from another SW user who used it in reply to another story. I liked it and never heard it before, so I asked his permission to use it.
@MaryJanine You're welcome. I don't think there's anything plagiarist about using some else's analogy. And you're nice to give him credit for it.

@PhoenixPhail I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I just thought it went well with the "wrap-up"of my post and I wouldn't do it without asking him (or anybody else of SW, including you) - otherwise you see it all over creation and nobody knows where it came from. This particular poster is a very good friend, and has been for several years, first EP and later (now) SW.
@MaryJanine I like your respect of other people and their work. It makes you trustworthy. 💞

@PhoenixPhail Thank you. That is a wonderful complement. You have made my day. Honestly, though, I feel if I want friends and respect on Social Media, I have to give it in return, whether it is something I wrote or a question on someone else's post. It's only right.
