@offingg They wonder why racism still exists today. It's microaggressions and intersectional racism that still happens to this day and they ignore it because they don't want to feel bad or responsible for it. They ignore the truth about the ugly history in the US because they think it's "White guilt" and don't want to feel bad and responsible for it either. The thing is when we talk about this stuff they don't have to feel bad for it just acknowledge that it exists. They can think and say things like this because POC experiences don't pertain to them.
I know this white guy who I almost ended up dating said that he doesn't feel bad what happened to the Jews in the Holocaust and the slaves back in slavery times because his ancestors were German and had nothing to do it. Still insensitive as hell and the thing is he's very into black girls and I'm starting to feel like it's a more of fetish. He's an overall okay guy but ignorant. he doesn't deserve his black gf I hope they break up and he sticks to his own prejudice ass kind.
