theres a debate going on in a nearby state over rather the legislature should bann corporal punishment in schools statewide. currently its up to the individual school system if allowed or not. the arguement is that a large percentage of kids paddled are kids with special needs. my nana and i were talking about this morning she said she knew of a punishment worse than the paddle that my uncle whose high fuctioning autistic's teacher used on his class. she locked them in a room that was about the size of a supply closet. she even went to the school and told them shed rather they paddle my uncle than do that. it took her and several other parents going to the schoolboard to have this teacher stopped. so which in reality is worse do you think. before you ask i myself don't condone paddling special needs studends
