Today we live in the world of literacy and knowledge.... Can you limit your imagination to decades old doctrine or ideologies? Today we use smartphones, laptops, cars, aeroplanes, going to the space and other planets, connected to the whole world through Internet.... Are you ready to go backward the 7th century?

Religious laws set down by the few for the many will always favour the more extreme interpreter.
Presumably this was why it was significantly scaled back and the more radical clerics were banned/extradited/cast out in the first place !

Any person killing or severely maiming people, is a terrorist first, religious freedom fighter, second. And has to be seen in that light.

@NearMiss: I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to tell anybody else what I think the Koran is about, but aparantly you would.
A terrorist is still a terrorist whether he's a 10th century Crusader rampaging around the world killing Muslims. Or a 21sr century Muslim doing the same.
It doesn't advance anything other than hatred !

Actually Koran does not teach terrorism... Koran is misinterpreted by Imams of Islam and created sharia law. Koran does not talk anything about sharia or any biased rules. Every sentence have 2 meanings.... Imams choose the negative meaning and preach it. Someone said "because of women men can't be liberated".... On surface it looks like it is said by some misogynist asshole... No, who said this wanted to point out on men's greed and sick desire, lust toward women. So, men need to control their lust, not women.
