Is the world wide web destroying the english language?

有吗？没感觉。英语一直都是世界第四语言。现在还是。因该不会受到很大的印象。

It is certainly mangling it, with much thanks to Microsoft's programmers knowing all about hexadecimals and files and things, but shaky on English.

While in the past the language evolved at a fairly natural rate, today it is being forced by powerful commercial cultural and communications interests.

Probably, but English is a conglomeration of a half dozen languages anyway, so it's not exactly pure to begin with...
