It is funny that the people who curse islam for terrorism keep quiet when people of other religions cause terror..

Tell me of one current instance where terror has been caused in the name of another religion.
Whereas not all muslims are terrorist, actually most are not, it's just the radical fundamentals, all the modern terror attacks are done in the name of their god.
And when people set out to cause terror, fear does set in. Fear is not logical and people will form an aversion to the cause of their fear.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: cow vigilantes running wild all around India lynching, killing, raping people just because they eat beef
Buddhist terror myanmar few years ago

2002 gujarat riots
just few examples you know

@PlayaCat22:
Cow vigilantes - Those things are contained within themselves, or nearby. They do not go around the world picking people who have nothing to do with India or beef eating beliefs and killing them. So it does not cause the global terror. Are the cow vigilantes really that active?
Buddhist terror- again, among themselves and did not cause a global terror.
2002 Gujarat riots was not about religion really, it was political but okay. Again contained.

And at least the latter 2 are non- recurring. I am not aware of the first one.

Now look at the gravity of the Islamist fundamental terrorism. How far and wide they go with it and what lengths they go to to hurt people and the widespread attention that comes with it. The accounts I have read of what they have done in some places can really take away your faith in humans. They want to cause a global terror and they are achieving it.
Like I said, fear is irrational and people will form a blanket aversion. It is actually a natural reaction to something that is repeatedly thrown in the faces of people in this world.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: again saying it is contained does not mean it is not terrorism and you are being ignorant when you say 2002 riots was not about religion, it was totally about religion right wing hindu groups especially targeted muslims almost all the people who were killed ,raped etc were muslims, several riots have been instigated since then by similar right wing groups, recently it has been against lower caste hindus so it is very much recurring and increasing at an alarming rate
they just didn't get the chance to expand as much under left rule or else they would be doing damage on similar scale as ISIS or AL qaeda

make no mistake i am not defending islam or any sort of terrorism here, but exposing the bigotry

@PlayaCat22: You asked why people curse Islam. And I answered why.

You can look at it any way you want it, but the reason hatred for Islam is so widespread is because of the reasons I gave.
Bigotry exists in many ways and all over the world. Not just by Hindus against Muslims as you seem keen to expose. Muslims against Hindus is also a known hatred but you did not think about that, did you? But all of this has not spread a wide fear in the world.
You want to make one side look innocent. And it is just not the case.

Ignorance is when you're not willing to look at it rationally.

I am aware of what happened in Gujarat Riots. And it might not be as simple as you make it out to be.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: i never asked why people curse islam neither am i trying to make any side look innocent, that is your interpretation, and it is completely wrong

And about the Gujarat riots the statement
It is quite clear how much you know, when the people who were actually responsible for the riot themselves openly admitted how and why they did it,but again you choose to believe what you read or see on TV and don't tell me you have more reliable sources than that

And once again muslim agaisnt hindu hatred or hindu against muslim hatred are two sides of the same coin, and yes ofc i have thought about it and i am against it, i was raised in a family where my mother did not even let us talk to people who talked shit about other religions or hated them
PlayaCat22 · M
@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: and just because i was stating the example of 2002 riots does not mean that i was complaining about hindus hating muslims, these extremists are against everyone, even hindus who refuse to accept their ideology, there have been several instances of upper caste hindus trying to suppress lower caste hindus even in recent times, right now media is completely sold out, you have no idea how dangerous this is getting, they are basically forming a hindu version of taliban, several major riots and killings are not even reported or shown in mainstream media
most of the people have no hatred for other religions from where i come from, it is either politicians or some right wing fanatic group be it hindu or muslim fueling such situations
SW-User
@PlayaCat22: No? You just made a blanket statement about how it is funny people curse islam and I said why. You just do not want to see it. You're getting emotional about it for some reason and not being rational.

About the Gujarat Riots, I know more than you think. But I am not going to go on and argue about this.

Have you ever been face to face with terrorism that is current in the world? Has someone ever told you they will kill you if you cannot recite some kind of prayer? Have you seen someone you love or know being cut to pieces because they cannot say this prayer? These innocent people who have nothing to do with the religion, nor the politics, not anything. People who are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, just collateral damage.
I do not deny bigotry or hate is rampant in all people and all religions and nationals. I AM MERELY EXPLAINING WHY PEOPLE ARE CURRENTLY AVERSE TO ISLAM.
It is very easy to sit on the sidelines and lament why people are blind and hate islam for what is happening......you seem to forget what fear can do to people. Or rather, you do not want to acknowledge this. Fear is the biggest reason the world currently is islam averse.

I will not debate this further. I know what I am talking about, you're not willing to see what it is I am saying. You've got it in your head that I am supporting Islam Hate...I am not. I am saying something quite different.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: never said or implied that you are supporting irrational hatred against islam
"Have you ever been face to face with terrorism that is current in the world? Has someone ever told you they will kill you if you cannot recite some kind of prayer? exactly how many people ranting on social media have experienced this?👆
SW-User
@PlayaCat22: Whether you like it or not, whether you accept it or not, all the major, global attention seeking current terrorist attacks are done in the name of this Islamic god. What happens contained in the state it is caused in does not create global terror and therefore it will not create hate like this particular one does. And that is what is causing the fear and the hatred.

And people ranting on social media might not have experienced it first hand. But then some might have. Some might know someone who has. And some have just read about it. Did you go ask everyone personally where their views come from before you began this rant about people hating on this religion as a blanket view?

You just do not see the point. You have your own agenda here you want to press. Your qn was answered. You don't want to accept that answer, that is your own irrationality.
PlayaCat22 · M
@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: again you took to a different track and telling me that i am not getting the point
and i like it how you ignore the points which you cannot deny and focus where you can argue
SW-User
@PlayaCat22: Sure, if you say so. Doesn't matter, we won't see eye to eye on this.
