You've got two choices. Treat your body right, or treat it wrong.. Eat healthy and gets lots of rest, or cocaine ...

Wow.. I think I have treating wrong intolerance.

- clean desk; messy desk means messy mind
- no distractions; no phone, or even better: no internet (unless it helps you)
- pristine environment: no sound

- pomodoro technique (of course, that depends on your learning style; a medical student told me that studying for hours on end is better for retention because you are deeply entangled with the subject, firing neurons like crazy - and if you break that concentration after an hour, it will take you 20 minutes to rebuild it)

- sleep and get up at normal hours! Let's say get up at 7 or 8 a.m. and study until 6 p.m., take a break and the last thing what you read before bed should be your study material.
Force a correct biorhythm!! It is essential!!
Daydreaming is one of the symptoms of bad or lack of sleep.

- no switching!! Don't switch between dissimilar topics/courses, like languages and science. Stick with science the whole day or languages the whole day.

- tell yourself: I would rather suffer 5 years and profit 40 than the other way around
- get involved about what you are reading and studying! Absorb it in every aspect! Relate it to different things! Look it all up on the internet and read everything with patience!

- stop being LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I like that medical student method better, I just feel a force to stand up and walk when I'm just sitting.
I just can't force the correct biorythm. It'll always change that way.
I think I should stop being a perfectionist :-?

84 for days is lots of time and you can get this on track. Just treat it like a job and put in the time. Get rid of distractions (like SW) except as rewards for good blocks of work. As for the sleep you need it so get lots of exercise and ditch the electronics an hour or so before bed and that should work.

Step 1: get off SW

I'm glad that the internet didn't exist my first time in university and my second time it was still dial-up at $2 per hour. Otherwise I never would have made it through.

@Wilbury: you were so lucky though!

i feel your pain. these are the things i should do but generally don't:

- get a regular sleep schedule. force yourself to go to bed before midnight and up at 8am
- make sure you eat properly. don't skip meals
- drink lots of water
- put away the phone. use study apps to shut it down while you study
- go to the library rather than staying home
- regular breaks. at least 10 min per 45 minutes

good luck!

I have problem with breaks: I'm exhausted without them, but it is so hard to stick to my plan after taking a break.

My dude. You have 84 days chill out. Make a schedule and only study ONE THING a day. Make time slots for studying. Give yourself 5 hours to study 1 subject, an hour of naptime, and 5 hours of another subject
Andromeda · 26-30, F
I was talking with a counsellor and he just said I should study different subjects in a day :-?

Go to sleep at 10 pm. Eat some damn veggies and fruit. Stop daydreaming and buck up those lady balls while getting head in reality.
Andromeda · 26-30, F
I will go, but I just can't sleep. You are right about the veggies though. I feel a rush to ddo that.
Socialclutz · 36-40, M
Focus on spinach it'll help you to sleep. You're in a routine that you need to break because that is truly unhealthy.
