A lawsuit, if the job was supposed to pay.
If it's mailed would it take longer than a week

@iCrochetstuff: It shouldn't most mail takes on average 3 days, I guess depending on the weather it could have gotten held up somewhere. If you have contact with them, ask if they have proof they sent it, and on what day it went out.
I'm getting nervous. This hasn't happened before. He has my social card and ID copy @hami1091:

@iCrochetstuff: I don't blame you for getting worried, I'd try to contact him and get the date he sent it, but there has to be someone you can contact if it doesn't come through perhaps a local attorney they normally have free consultations and might be able to tell you the best steps to take in your state to address all your concerns, and also you can always contact the department of labor if it were just the matter of getting paid.
He seemed sketchy. He said he's a contract labor. He never said that when I got hired. He's gonna try and change up his story again if that's how he is @hami1091:

@iCrochetstuff: If he saying he hired you as an independent contractor that might make things a little more difficult, but you are still entitled to your pay, my best advice would be to look online locally for a lawyer that offers free consultation that could better lead you on what steps to take, and you can also consider filing in small claims court to get the money owed to you. I wish you luck with this, I hate when people are cheated.
@hami1091: thank you. And aren't they supposed to be informed before hire about this kind of thing?

@iCrochetstuff: Yes, you were, and if you were hired as an independent contractor you should have been presented with a contract to sign.
Didn't sign shit. @hami1091:

@iCrochetstuff: That's pretty much what I figured from your previous response, something is definitely not right with the situation.
