what was the point of the womans march

I'm honestly confused about it. What was the protests for?
Why are women in other countries doing the March because they "fear trump as president"

I was amazed. I could not figure who they were protesting ... who's vote they anticipated to influence ... and what the message was.

Am also amazed how fast the whole topic rolled off the news.

Did these women represent women all over American?
Read into it a little, apparently they were out there protesting trump because he want to take away the woman's rights. I also was confused about the women in other countries trying to jump on this wagon when our country has nothing to do with them. But then the simple protest on trump turned into a woman's vs trans issue. Because the trans felt hurt by women representing vaginas to say they are women and do as they please. Sounds silly for the trans to be angry over this because the women I believe we're doing this because of abortions rights which trans do not have vaginas or a uterus so it didn't really have anything to do with them. Ugh life is so complicated lol

Smiling ... always good for people to express themselves ....always good for people to vent.

The expectations of this march must have been very low.

Always good for people to get outside and walk a bit.

I am confused that you are still confused about women marching - to bring awareness to women's health and reproductive rights.

Why wouldn't ALL women want to protect their rights as human beings?

Don't let the rhetoric, of the media, distort the meaning in the message. It's not that complicated.
@peechykeen:

Peechy ... if it was a march for abortion, why do you think it wasn't advertised as a march for abortion?

Obvious that I did not understand.

I really doubt 80 out of 100 people caught on that it was a pro-abortion rally.

I thought it was about mutual respect.

I have read over and over that thousands of pro-life people were protesting too.

Lol ... what a mess

@questionWeaver: Where I was marching, there were thousands of people, of all walks of life, using the march as a way of self expression. Some were using the walk as a way of protest, others used the walk to champion gay marriage ... there were pro-life, pro-choice, children and elderly ... not to mention every race imaginable.

Their motives were all different but the message was the same -
Women's Rights are Human Rights Around the World.

It's a shame the media hijacked the march to highlight their motives ... nothing new there.
@peechykeen:

Yep ... shame that effort was diminished at all.

The message was definitely hijacked ... other than madonna blowing up the white house ... the news has moved on.

They advise ... keep the message simple ... targeted ... real ... catchy ... and appealing.

The media has so distorted the message ... that it just sounds like people did a 5K walk.
Self-expression is good!
