I had an English teacher with dyslexia (fortunate enough to have her twice). Instead of just read and answer questions, she would often show us movies/videos that explained the subject better than she or the book could, and then she would actually get up and teach how it all applies in the real world. As an adult, I now realize that I learned far more from her than most teachers.
