America should have more degree apprenticeship options
The United Kingdom and European Union have on the job vocational training with classroom instruction while the student worker gets paid a wage from the beginning and the company or government pays for the diploma, certificate, or the degree. In the UK for instance someone can achieve a bachelors degree level 6 or masters degree level 7 qualification with a degree apprenticeship. The United States has some apprenticeships for trades like carpentry and construction and some healthcare and tech roles but the EU and UK have diverse offerings like translation, creative writing and journalism, etc. and I’m just like wow why can’t the United States be more like other countries when it comes to degree apprenticeships? And more traineeships to various industries. That way companies get qualified workers and students don’t have to be in debt. The educational model in America is broken and needs revamping.
