Depends on what you want to do. If you have little experience in something you'd like to do, approach someone in that line of work and ask them for a chance to volunteer your time in order to gain experience. You probably won't get paid, however you get free training and if they see you're keen and a quick learner they may even employ you or recommend you to others.
