I am very excited and I am designing a simple poster about online live qigong classes..
Live meaning, it won't be a recorded class but I would be with my students present, so they can follow my instructions and movements and I can also correct their posture.
For starters I need a free platform online. Zoom is free up to 40 min but I want my classes to be hourly.
There is Google meetings that perhaps could work. I will need to get a couple of friends to help me see which platform can work.
I am planning to offer 5 different packages between 1-5 times per week, meaning 4-20 hours roughly per month.
And I will begin with low prices but I am unsure yet of the exact amounts, thinking around it.
I will need to wait a bit to see what with Bali, as I want to arrange my timezone before I announce the hours 🙈 haha obviously! But it truly is something that excites me! My wholeness says yes, let's do that. I begin with low expectations and with the intention to build my audience and students.
I would like to begin on April until June, and try this 3 months frame first, before I invest in more months.
Know friends, I never envisioned myself as a Qigong instructor and yet look how life turns... I only remember looking at other Qigong teachers and getting inspired, but it never crossed my mind until this summer that I had these camper people encouraging me... I practiced with a few and they were telling me of how good teacher I'd make and somehow the door opened!
Now I do have a certification of studying in China for a year, qigong and martial arts, and yet I don't hold a teacher's training degree.
I feel confident to teach yet legally wise, my next move is to check if I can get one of these certifications.
It is a lot easier for yoga, as they have established foundations but with qigong unfortunately there are only very few, and then there are some more that can give you a certification but isn't necessarily connected to the main legal organizations of the wellness field. I have understood that this wellness field as many others, can be differentiating locally as well, having a certification being legal for Europe but not legal in Asia, etc.. So I will be taking gradual steps.:)
I had a discussion around it with a friend, of how we can be going after infinite diplomas, and that gave me some comfort as I already hold that one certification and I can take is low and not worry, as long as I am taking the necessary steps. So hopefully within the new year I will manage to get a certification. If not, I will continue to teach and gain experience, and perhaps something new will open.
Then my next step is to do something for my art, as it's been on pause for a while. I will give half to my training and half to my art. I am blessed truly, but I have suffered a lot too, and I am sure there are going to be challenges to come from now on as well.
The biggest challenge I have recognized so far is the Void. When this window opens, it is so demanding that I cease all activity, forget all identity, and bow. HAHA I guess, if you know you know. So far, I am managing to return back to my things. But sometimes it takes months. Perhaps that's just the process of growing -at least for some of us, with that type of blueprint - and part of the challenge.
