@being That pic was taken at South Milton Sands in Devon UK. About 40 minute drive from the city i live in. I love taking pics. But honestly something useful and helpful would be nice.

@Perry1968 you mean taking people to the beach on the sunrise won't be helpful or useful?
Perry1968 · M
@being Absolutely. But obviously i wouldnt take just anyone. Ive already been a taxi driver lol. But the disadvantaged folk who are lonely. Disabled etc then Absolutely. You have to have a righfully so lawful enhanced background check in to your history. I was a juvenile delinquent. Been to jail in 1984 at 15 then in 1989 for the last time. But because the crimes werent serious serious my enhanced check for taxi driving flew through and that was in early to mid 2000s.

Sure, addiction might only end when the addict decides - but, what if your truth is the one difference to that addict???

It doesn't matter how many times you hear something, if it is never said in the language you understand. Remember that we each have differing understanding of a common language - and maybe your interpretation could be the key to unlock that cell door for another person...

@HootyTheNightOwl Ive been a addict and honestly every addict i have encoutered with drugs anyway have all stopped (some not of course) from their own free will. I believe drugs councilling is great for support. Ive been lucky enough to have that support in the past but the truth is..and not just my personal truth' is that addiction ends if succesful by wanting yourself to end that addiction. I personally dont know a soul and i knew many' who gave up addiction by way of councilling. It has to be wanted by the addict. Councilling doesnt stop addiction. Not even jail stops it. Its still a job id do if i knew i could help someone get off by giving them councilling. It probably helps reinforce any future atrempts to kick a habit. Ive had some fantastic councillor's and totally respect them so im genuinely not knocking what they do.

@Perry1968 The thing is that addiction isn't purely just about the addict. They're probably still sending people who experienced addiction and/or prison into schools to talk to children about "Just Say No", staying out of prison, anti-bullying etc.

I remember how many of the inmates often said they were convicted of pretty serious crimes like assault or attempted murder - like they were really trying to go for the shock factor. Of course, you had to believe the story in the script... even though it's more plausible that they were probably shoplifters or something daft like that.

They've been trying for decades to stem the flow before it got to that stage where they had addicts and convicts to rehabilitate.

@HootyTheNightOwl Now that is AMAZING. Id love to do that. I know most youngters look at some old dude whos a ex addict any many other life experiences i could offer would more than likely just think mehh 😆 But honestly id love to do that even if it gof through to 1 in 1000. My doctor 2 or 3 years ago said to me. Hey. Youve led an interesting life. Would you give a brief life story so i can use it for my students. I obliged. It took about id guess over a year to write that brief which was only 4 or 5 A4 pages long. Weeks later he phoned me and told me the mixed reactions of students some where taken aback. Others not. He asked if id ever consider a facetime with his class. I said id think about it. In hindsight i just wished i saud a straight yes but i suffer from anxiety. I think i could cope with that now tbf. Opening up is liberating. For me anyway so yes thank you for such a good idea and thats where for me it would differ than sitting in a office as a key worker.

Or sometimes it takes crying out to God, and having Him cause a miracle of biblical magnitude to happen, for an addict to stop!? It happened to my husband after two years of a nasty drug, I cried and cried and cried out to God and He spoke to me through children on the radio and I saw a bright light and spoke those words to my husband, saying "There's a young lady who just wishes that somebody would just touch her and view her as a gift" "Inner beauty comes from a calm and gentle spirit" "He who is without sin cast the first stone" " Those who call upon the Lord He will show them great and mighty things that of which you did not know" being filled with such an overwhelming power soft spoken in my throat I spoke in tongues of men and in tongues of Angels to my husband, and to my God!!! That night my husband quit doing drugs and said "You know you almost have me convinced?" I told him "I'm just telling you what I've heard"

@saintsong No honestly. Like i said when posting its a free for all on anything i post regarding the answers i receive so i respect the good bad and the difference of opinions we all carry. Can i be genuine here and say to you that although i grew up in a Christian country i never went to church. My family and most people infact seemed to be the same. I never believed in god but i always believed a higher power existed. In my young mind it was the sun. As the sun is life for almost if not every living thing on this beautiful planet. Iam 57 now and recently (6 months or so) come across a religious live stream on YT and after watching it i subscibed. Joined in with the chat and a prayer was said for me. I swear i felt goosebumps. It was a beautiful feeling. I have a bible now but yet to read it. Deep inside scepticism still lives on although im going to begin to read it to come to a personal conclusion as to whether i believe it or not. I have stayed with this channel on YT and honestly last night i thought about it. Went on YT and wondered when the last livestream was or even if it maybe going now. And sure enough she was on livestream 😆 I did make me wonder if that was a call because its not every day or even every other day this person livestreams. BTW that is an AMAZING story of your husbands quitting at the hands of a prayer 🙏
