Is 29 too old to start going to college?

What are your opinions on going back to school? What age is too old to go back?

Thinking about going to school to be a nurse, specifically a NICU nurse. it would take many years to become a NICU nurse (NNP) it could take from 6-8yrs depending on how deeply I dive into school. I'd be 36-38 by the time I would be certified.

I didn't go to school after high school, I had a newborn that needed diapers, food and etc. so I went straight to work. I am very good at school and would love to go back. I actually lost a full ride to UIC because I wasn't allowed to graduate.
Long story short my pregnancy was high risk. I was put on bed rest, my principal said that due to my circumstances I could complete my course work from home and phone in for classes, i would be allowed to take my tests (which I did) and be allowed to graduate with my class. (Took my finals at school and risked myself and my son doing so)
anyways my son was born in May and I went back to school a week postpartum, there were only 3 weeks left for school, then they dropped the bomb the principal failed to inform me that I needed a written authorization from the board of education in order to have done school from home and call in to classes with the expectation to graduate on time. Since I wasn't told this BEFORE it was done I was not allowed to graduate.

So I wasn't about to repeat senior year, I had a baby I needed to fend for and took my GED test and started working.

And considering I only have a GED I've always had a good job and made good money...

But now My kids are older I almost didn't want to go back to school because I remember what it was like when my mom was in school I felt so neglected she worked all day and went to college at night I was in school from 7-4 and daycare from 5-9 and by the time we were home it was bedtime.
I didn't want to do that to my kids so I kept putting it off, but since I'm not going back to work I figured I could go back to school
My kids are 10 & 7 now....

Idk what I want to do....

Lol no! 29 is still a good age to begin a new career. You have about 30 more years of working ahead of you. Might as well do something you like

By the time I'm an NNP I'll have gained some experience working the lower nurse certification levels. My kids will be older by then, and I won't feel so guilty about the long running shifts it requires.
@Tristemuneca: Sounds like a plan do it!
Get that shit done
