Student debt is a poverty tax on low income families

Students who have to take out loans to go to school wind up paying more than rich people who just pay out of pocket up front.

Ultimately, it's a form of punishment for being low income and wanting higher education.

Correct?

Couldn’t be further from the truth. But you want my hard earned tax dollars to pay for it?? That’s punishment! Colleges shouldn’t be allowed to charge such high tuitions for low income students. Government has no business paying for it. You don’t always get what you want especially if you can’t afford it.

@gregloa the only bit I agree with is that low-income students should not have to pay outrageous tuition fees
