I'm so sad and angry after what my English teacher did to me..

I'm French btw and we study English at high school. So we did a test where we had to write an essay about an experience that changed my life.
And today when he gave us back our papers, he told me that it is too sophisticated and good to be written by a high school student.
And he gave me 3/20, and it's a very important module :(
I'm so sad because I did something great and instead of being praised, I'm being yelled at...

What?! Go to your parents and go over his head. That is absolutely not okay. You can have that overturned.

The justification is the problem, not the mark.

"And today when he gave us back our papers, he told me that it is too sophisticated and good to be written by a high school student."

Now, she could have cheated, but I'm giving OP the benefit of the doubt here. As such, if I was the parent I'd absolutely be talking to the teacher and/or the principal. You should not punish students for doing too well unless there's actually some evidence of cheating - even comparison to other essays and such.

@Kimmler: when you suspect a student of cheating, isn't it prudent to give them a zero and take disciplinary action. That 3/20 is a slap in the face, and seems to be an attempt to fail her without giving her a chance to defend the accusation of cheating. It seems abusive, and worse than that, lazy.

" Oh, I know you're a cheat and a liar, but if I accuse you and demand disciplinary action, I'm going to have to put some time and thought and effort into proving you couldn't write this well, so instead, I'll give you a failing grade, insult you by calling you a cheat, but just in case you're not cheating, I won't put it in writing. That way, I won't have to defend my position. I won't have to prove anything. "

Is this how a decent teacher deals with a cheat? No.
