Sorry, the censorship is already in the bookstores. And has been for decades.
The censorship starts with the publishers.

That's not popular nor so called morally correct! Publisher only publish what makes them money through popularity.

You won't find what it's like to be raped in detail, or how you watched your own kids starved to death day by day. Or the details of watching your parents be shot.
The very morals prevent it.
I dare you to find the book "show me" in any book store now!
It's banned in the USA. You'll have a hard time finding it on the Internet.
That was a sex education book for kids in the 1970s! Nothing more.
It could on and on and on about the censorship in the publishing industry.
They only want what will sell through popularity of the majority. The pretty and positive stuff.
Anything truly gross damaging or negative is censored.

@DeWayfarer Oprah made her own trauma from being raped into a career. People do go there. A film shown in film class to freshmen even to this day shows a pregnant fifteen year old getting stabbed in the foetus by her dad's body guards in front of her teen pal - the cult of war is very hegemonic in US universities.

@DeWayfarer somehow I remember Fourth grade included graphic detail about castrated people and little girls getting their period stopped by a needle full of acid -with details of a medical nature- maybe I was uniquely exposed.
