School district bans what?

I was looking for old photos to delete from my phone and came across this news headline screenshot from a few years ago.

How are the students supposed to write their papers without pronouns? Maybe they can make do with amateur nouns but I wouldn't want to try it.

Btw I count seven pronouns in this post alone. That's how prevalent they are. Eight.

School rules rarely have any legitimate purpose, the vast majority are made "just because they can".

That’s why they’re called pro nouns

Schoolchildren in Sweden have been banned from dressing up as gingerbread men for a Christmas parade because their teachers fear the costumes could be considered racist.

Youngsters from a primary school in Laxa told their parents they had been ordered not to wear the outfits for the St Lucia celebrations on Thursday

@candycane If I were a parent there I'd ask the school just what "race" it fondly imagines to be protecting, from what...?
