If you could move to NYC would you? If not why not?

I grew up in CT, about 60 miles from NYC. Used to love to take the train into Manhattan, walk around the city, go to Central Park, hit a few clubs (bars), get a pizza slice or a hot pretzel. But I haven't been there in thirty years and the city's reputation is not what it was. Plus they have winter which I mostly avoid in AZ.
